Our Take on FTMO Futures

FTMO Futures is the futures prop programme of FTMO, the Prague firm operating since 2015, adding to the growing list of futures prop firms. The programme launched in beta on 31 August 2026 and offers two one-step evaluation plans, Growth and Pro, with account sizes of $50K, $100K and $150K. Terms were checked on 27 October 2026. Growth suits traders who want lower fees and a softer daily loss limit on the funded account. Pro suits those who need full profit withdrawals and accept a hard daily loss limit from day one.

Both plans use an end-of-day trailing drawdown that locks permanently at the starting balance once reached. Growth has no daily loss limit during the evaluation and a soft daily loss limit on the funded account that pauses trading without breaching. Pro imposes a hard daily loss limit throughout. A consistency rule applies in the evaluation only, capping the best day at 40% of total profit for Growth and 50% for Pro. No consistency rule applies once funded, and the evaluation has no minimum trading days and no time limit. The monthly subscription stops when the evaluation is passed or cancelled.

Payouts use a 90/10 profit split with a $20 minimum. Growth caps withdrawals at 50% of profit above the starting balance, up to $4,000 per request. Pro allows 100% withdrawals, up to $8,000 per request. Platforms include NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView. FTMO Futures' own Trustpilot profile shows 4.3 from 39 reviews, and FTMO's futures pages display the main FTMO rating of 4.8 from over 55,000 reviews. The programme excludes residents of 105 countries, including Australia, and a Live Funded Account is invitation-only.

Challenge Accounts

Simulated Trading Environment

All FTMO Futures Evaluation and Sim-Funded accounts are simulated, and a Live Funded Account with real capital is available by invitation only.

FTMO Futures offers two one-step evaluation programmes, Growth and Pro, each with three account sizes. Both require hitting a profit target while respecting a trailing maximum drawdown and a consistency rule. The evaluation has no time limit and no minimum trading days. A breach resets on the next monthly renewal or with a paid reset. Learn more about how prop challenges work.

The key differences lie in the drawdown limits, daily loss rules and payout structures. Growth has a softer approach with no daily loss limit in the evaluation and a soft daily loss limit on the funded account. Pro imposes a hard daily loss limit throughout and offers full profit withdrawals.

FTMO Futures Growth

The Growth plan suits traders who prefer lower fees and a more forgiving risk structure. Its maximum drawdown trails each end-of-day high until it reaches the starting balance, then locks there permanently. Early winning days raise the floor. After the account has gained the full drawdown amount, the floor stays at the starting balance and every further dollar of profit adds room. This is a trailing drawdown mechanism. The evaluation has no daily loss limit, while the funded account uses a soft daily loss limit that closes positions and pauses trading for the day without breaching the account. A consistency rule in the evaluation caps the best day at 40% of total profit, requiring at least three trading days. Payouts are capped per request.

FTMO Futures Pro

The Pro plan is designed for traders who want full access to their profits and accept stricter risk controls. A hard daily loss limit applies from the evaluation onward, breaching the account if hit. The consistency rule sets a best day cap at 50% of total profit in the evaluation, requiring at least two trading days. The trailing drawdown locks at the starting balance. The $50K Pro account features a 1:1 profit target to drawdown ratio. Payouts allow up to 100% of profit above the starting balance, with higher per-request caps. FTMO warns that withdrawing all profit after the drawdown has locked at the starting balance breaches the account.

Verdict on FTMO Futures' Challenges

Rules score: 9/10 how we score

The one-step evaluation structure is straightforward, with no time limit and no minimum trading days. The main challenge lies in the end-of-day trailing drawdown, which trails each end-of-day high until it reaches the starting balance and then locks there permanently. Early winning days raise the floor. Growth offers a softer path, while Pro demands strict daily loss discipline from the start. Both require planning around the consistency rule in the evaluation.

Commission Fees & Pricing

FTMO Futures charges a monthly subscription that covers the evaluation, with no activation or platform fees. The lowest entry is $119 for a Growth $50K account if the evaluation is completed in one month. Resets cost slightly less than the monthly fee. Under the global terms, consumers have a 14-day right to a refund only before the first simulated trade; resets are non-refundable.

Commissions are $0.50 per side on mini and standard contracts, and $0.20 per side on micros, plus exchange and NFA fees. Level 1 real-time CME market data is included. Spread figures are not published. Commissions, exchange fees and other trading costs are applied in the simulated account's profit and loss. Prices are real-time CME exchange quotes.

Growth plan requires four qualifying days with end-of-day profit thresholds of $150, $250 or $300 per account size, and allows up to 50% of profit above the starting balance per request, capped at $2,500, $3,000 or $4,000. Pro plan requires five qualifying days with $200, $300 or $500 thresholds, and permits up to 100% withdrawal, capped at $5,000, $6,000 or $8,000 per request. Payouts score: 9/10 how we score

The 90/10 split matches the market standard for futures prop firms, but the payout caps and qualifying day requirements differ significantly between plans. Growth’s 50% cap keeps a buffer in the account, while Pro’s full withdrawal option suits traders who want immediate access to profits. The invitation-only Live Funded Account offers daily payouts with no cap.

Verdict on Trust

Trust score: 10/10 how we score

FTMO’s long track record and transparent corporate structure provide strong trust signals. The beta launch is recent, but the firm’s Futures-specific terms are clear and no negative incidents have surfaced. The country restrictions are a significant barrier for many traders.

Overall Score for FTMO Futures

FTMO Futures stands out among futures prop firms for the 1:1 profit target to drawdown ratio on the Pro $50K plan, no consistency rule once funded, payouts every 4 or 5 qualifying days with a $20 minimum and no activation fee. The main trade-offs are monthly billing and the exclusion of Australia and 104 other countries.

Growth is for traders prioritising lower cost and a softer daily loss limit on the funded account, accepting capped payouts. Pro is for consistent traders who want to withdraw all profits and accept a higher drawdown limit, while handling a strict hard daily loss limit from the start. The 1:1 profit target to drawdown ratio on the $50K Pro account makes it a balanced challenge.
